Euan Ansley (Managing Director)
Was born and
educated in Christchurch, New Zealand, and commenced a banking career
in 1968. In 1970 moved to Canada to take up a position with a major
Canadian international bank. Spent five years in Canada undertaking
extensive training programmes both within the Bank’s structure as
well as undertaking courses at the University of Toronto, and
subsequently University of Wisconsin. In late 1974 joined the
International Division of the Bank and undertook all the planning
activities for the establishment of branches in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Subsequent to this was appointed to the Abu Dhabi branch to oversee
the establishment of its operations. Following a training program in
London relating to the developing Euro markets, was transferred to
Beirut, Lebanon, in 1977 to restructure the Bank’s subsidiary
following the civil war.
Was then reassigned to Singapore as
Deputy Manager of the Bank’s Singapore Branch and Asian Currency
Unit. This position was held until early 1981 when another Canadian
bank, Bank of Montreal, made an approach to appoint him as Manager of
its Singapore Branch. This role was accepted and eventually led to
the appointment as Vice President of the Bank with responsibility for
the Bank’s activities in South East and Southern Asia. This also
involved assuming the role of Managing Director of the Bank’s Asian
based merchant bank. This entity was subsequently developed into the
largest merchant bank in Asia, with activities throughout Asia,
Australasia, Europe and North America.
In 1987 a major Australian bank
appointed him to their capital markets group as general manager for
Asia Pacific activities. Following a merger with another subsidiary,
this role was expanded to incorporate all global capital markets
business. Headquartered in Melbourne this group had representation
in New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, London and
Zurich. Subsequent to this role, formed his own company, which has
operated successfully for many years. Has worked independently
including two senior positions with major Australian based fund
managers, a move that was initiated to better understand that
industry. Major activities have included corporate and debt
restructuring and other consultancy work. Was a founding director
and shareholder of a successful London based banking consulting firm
and has undertaken work in many international markets. Was also a
managing director of a Melbourne based financial services company,
and has held several board positions. Has recently completed the
establishment of a Cyprus based funds management arm of a Middle East
based financial institution and a fully operational Treasury
Department for the same institution.
Richard Rendell (Director &
Chief Technology Officer)
Richard has been in the ICT industry
for 31 years working for large and small companies in very diverse
roles. Employed at Oracle Corporation for over 18 years until
December 2007 (as Senior Director, Product Development), he held a
range of positions leading many efforts on new Oracle products and
features. Richard has unique experience in delivering complex
business-critical software. With global responsibility for many
components of the Oracle database, tools and applications products,
Richard established development teams in Australia, India and China.
In his last 3 years at Oracle, Richard led several strategic open
source initiatives for the company and led several of Oracle’s many
acquisitions. Richard has also worked independently assisting
companies from a business and technological standpoint especially
start-ups and acquisitions with highly successful outcomes. Prior to
Oracle, Richard held roles at several companies including Plessey
Communications Systems, Data General, Cognos and Computer Manufacture
and Design (CMAD) building micro and mini computers from circuit
design, to operating system. Richard holds various hardware and
software engineering qualifications from both RMIT and Monash
University.
Kevin Hollingsworth (Director &
Company Secretary)
Is an accountancy and business adviser
and a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) (1985), Fellow of Chartered
Institute of Management Accountants UK (FCMA) (1977) and a Registered
Tax Agent. Is a past State Councilor of CPA Australia and past
National President of Australia of the Chartered Institute of
Management Accountants. Kevin previously spent ten years working in
the financial management area for small and medium size enterprises
in England before returning to Australia to set up his own
accountancy and business advisory company in the early 1980’s.
His company specialises in providing
services to small and medium size enterprises including Strategic
Business Advice, Financial Management, Business Planning and
Controls, Business Appraisals, Management and Analytical Assessments
and Strategic Management Accounting. Currently holds the position of
CFO and Company Secretary of Australian public companies Alpha
Technologies Corporation Ltd and Mesoblast Ltd and holds the position
of director of Australian public company Grandbridge Ltd
